The Arts Deadlines List is an amazing list of competitions, contests, call for entries/papers, grants, scholarships, fellowships, jobs, internships, etc., in the arts or related areas (painting, drawing, animation, poetry, writing, music, multimedia, reporting/journalism, cartooning, dance, photography, video, film, sculpture, etc.), some of which have prizes worth thousands of dollars. It is international in scope.

This is a great site presented by the Boston Globe. Not only does it contain listings of the Globe's own jobs available, but it has all of the help wanted classified ads from the paper on-line and in a very searchable format. There is also a unique 'resumes of famous people' page, plus lots of good job hunting and work-related advice taken from past issues of the paper.

Careers On-Line provides job search and employment information to people with disabilities through accessible, up-to-date computer networks, on the Internet. Careers On-Line is a federally-funded project administered by Disability Services in cooperation with Distributed Computing Services at the University of Minnesota. This is a wonderful site for those persons with disabilities. Although all of the job listings are in the Twin Cities area, there is a wealth of other information for those interested in adaptive technology and job accommodation.

On a typical day it contains over 25,000 ads and it is updated daily. It also has a very useful search engine. Great site if you are looking for work in one of the metropolitan areas covered by these newspapers.

This excellent site contains links to companies that have entry level positions available in all industries. It also contains a unique feature that allows users to post their resumes on-line. The Environmental Careers Organization, Inc. is a national, non-profit organization dedicated to the development of individuals' environmental careers. Founded in 1972, ECO has five regional offices in Boston, Cleveland, Seattle, San Francisco and Tampa and an alumni network of over 6,000 individuals. Through four basic services (placement, career planning, products, and research), The Environmental Careers Organization supports the development of environmental professionals and citizens who will make effective, balanced, and responsible decisions. This site has an unusual feature where you can ask questions on-line.
